Audacity, the well-known audio recording and editing software, has unveiled its 3.5 version, incorporating several new features and improvements.
Did they bring back telemetry? Having a hard time trusting Muse Group again
Unfortunately Tenacity is not in Debian repos, and compiling it is not straightforward.
It’s available as a verified flatpak on flathub. No compilation necessary.
Do be aware that users have reported issues running the flatpak on Mint; unsure if it would be the same for Debian. There is a workaround, and it fixes the issue completely (yes that issue is on the Audacity GitHub, but the same applies to Tenacity according to their release notes)
It is, however, in the Arch repos, if you want to try giving that a spin.
I’m not that brave :-) I need my pc for making music, and stability is a must.
If this is your attitude towards arch, you really don’t know the first thing about it. I’ve been daily driving it for over 5 years and i have only ever had it break because of something i did.
The latest version has also undergone various modifications to several features and has eliminated some niche features to streamline the app.
So if you used it in the past, don’t expect it to be the same, right?
