    I suppose from a safety perspective it’s better that they stay on during the day than off at night. I’m surprised they’re networked and affected at all, though. Most streetlights I’ve seen appear to work on a relatively simple light sensor. They turn on when it’s dark enough and off when it’s light enough, which means if it gets unusually dark from a particularly strong storm they come on during the day.
