Not sure if “mauled” should be used…at least not what I think of when I read “mauled.” I guess sensationalistic headline gets clicks, as usual.

Is this an article about idiots or a jacket-add?

Widdowson believes the bear was motivated to pounce after hearing the two women discussing their upcoming lunch. Gallacher said, “Let’s get something to eat,” to which Widdowson replied, “No, you are not allowed to give food [to a bear]. Absolutely nothing, nothing, nothing."

“And I think he heard it and decided he had to eat my friend instead,” Widdowson quipped.

Both women credit an article of Gallacher’s clothing with saving her from a worse fate. "She was wearing a thick Marks & Spencer jacket and the poor bear got more jacket than arm,” Widdowson recalled.

“I was wearing a padded jacket and a top and another top—that’s what saved my arm,” Gallacher marveled. “I’ve been very, very lucky.”

These people sound incredibly dumb. They approached a mama bear with its cubs - and think it attacked them because they mentioned lunch? Jesus fucking Christ.

I don’t know if the company that made the jacket would want to be associated with such morons.

Even dumber because that happened before.

“What happened was the bear came up to the window at my friend’s side, and no problem. It let us take a picture and went away,” Gallacher told STV. “But I didn’t get a proper picture, so we went back and it was at my side.”

They already had the goddamn picture!

Ambulance should be retroactively allowed to unhelp people. Just ripping out the stitches while shouting “there are people who actually deserve this”

I think that is one of those situations where it is fitting to say “they deserve to day”. Like they actually worked towards it.

Like that woman who took a selfie at the edge of a cliff with warning signs all over. It’s unreal how many people are dying because they want to take a selfie. It’s a fucking health hazard.

And embarrassing too. There must be so many ghosts because of that.
