IIRC, they tried and failed. Just like they tried to copyright the term “space marine”.
The fact that they throw money at everything, just hoping they can win but knowing full well that they’re all but guaranteed to bankrupt the other guy… Man, I fucking hate GW (and WotC, while we’re at it).
I’ll happily print every gawdamned proxy/counts-as I’m asked to, no matter the size or “infringement” chance. 🤘🏽
