Im always torn on this in soulslikes. I want to survive and see the next thing but I also dont want to fall behind on leveling
I get that. I find that if I don’t have any souls on me, I can explore more freely without the pressure of needing to watch out for my souls and being afraid of losing them. So I usually just stick to the souls I get on my way to the boss and from the boss encounter itself for levels and don’t stress about levels too much until I’m there
I play all video games like sir robin. Me playing doom. open door backup and see if anyone comes out. then go in one foot and retreat. then two feet, etc. etc.
