And to everyone’s disappointment, nothing will happen.

But they likely deserve to be broken up and sent to jail. Truly criminal the tactics that were used and knowing that they came from McKinsey…. Not surprised

John Oliver’s special on them is spectacular.

      I respectfully disagree…

They made some amount of money, and will pay <.01% as a fine; and offer a deeply sincere apology…

Company: i need a justification for doing greedy immoral things

McKinsey: We don’t do that… Unless you have money. Oh, you have money? Let’s go!

This is worst. They worked for both the shitty pharma company rushing their dangerous opioid into market and the regulatory agency.

It’s scandalous and the trail of bodies and even more broken lives is heartbreaking.

They’ll Probably face a fine, a fraction of their quarterly profit. Most other consumer facing industries might suffer a long term/permanent loss in trust/image. But their customers are other companies especially management. My own extremely cynical view is, they’ll come out being viewed as “going the extra mile for the client” even if it means being unethical.

When you’re selling to psychopaths, showing them you’re just the same is good for business.
