Windows 7 was really the last good version of Windows for me. I remember when Windows 8 coming out, and I was excited for the future (this was when I was a teenager, and I was a HUUUGE Microsoft Fanboy (to the point where I would take a bullet for my crappy windows phone)). In retrospect, it really was the dawn of a dark era and a dystopian future of spyware and adware being default in your OS. Also the UI was horrible.
