Looks like they’re going after forks or projects otherwise containing Yuzu code.
Another 8000 repos appears on some GitHub alternative. Imo this is a problem for GitHub/Microsoft and less so problem for everyone else. Can’t wait for Nintendo to DMCA copilot because it was trained on Yuzu code and can help you write an emulator.
It’s a problem for us too because what we don’t need is more scrutiny. This may trigger Microsoft to start policing Git more, and that’s a net negative.
And yeah they can move to other alternatives, but it’s going to be harder to get volunteers if it’s not on git.
There’s also no guarantee Nintendo won’t chase them there. They seem to be on a warpath now. Yuzu making the money it was making did exactly what people were worried introducing money into emulation would do.

I’m not sure if this was your intention, but Git is not an appropriate abbreviation for GitHub. GitHub uses Git. It’s kinda like PornHub -> porn, it’s a hub for a thing.
The common abbreviation for GitHub is GH, but it’s not a great unique abbreviation so the context needs to be clear.
Your comment is spot on though, I agree that’s definitely a concern.
Maybe they’re trying to be so annoying github starts taking down nintendo-related projects preemptively.
