Jesus Christ. I didn’t expect it so soon. I’m not even prepared. I have family I need to contact. And I should probably stock up on cat food. Damn. I wish I’d known it was going to be today…
It’s about fucking time.
Well, it’s about killing him but I digress…
Met another fan of Hades working at a comic shop this past weekend, and we agreed that the best move is to patiently wait until it’s fully baked before gorging ourselves.
Is it expected to rise in price or something? It is not on sale now, and is currently more expensive than the original ever was.
From the early access section on the Steam page :
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access? “Depending on the duration of Early Access and the scope of additional content we add to Hades II over time, we may raise the retail price at a later point.”
It was 24.99 on first release, and didn’t hit a true sale for a year a and a half. So far the devs say this early access has more content than the original already, so I’d say that it’s worth the extra $5 (though IMO it’s worth a full $60 if it’s anywhere near the first), so you can wait 18 months and maybe catch it for $20 if that’s what you want to do.
It was 20% off for the first week and also included a copy of their previous game Pyre

It was an epic store exclusive long before it came to steam.
