              I love that movie so much! Best neo-noir, even moreso than Bladerunner, Dark City, or The Big Lebowski.

              edit: ok, maybe not Lebowski, but it places “high in the runnin”

                Lebowski is more noir-satire. But, yeah, WFRR is a gem!

                  In response to your now ethereal comment, but still relevant to the new. Lebowski absolutely falls under the neo-noir category. We’ve got:

                  • Reluctant “detective” Lebowski

                  • Femme fatale Maude

                  • Red herring “Autobahn”

                  • Convoluted story

                  • Narrator, though not necessarily that of the main character

                  Roger Rabbit/Lebowski/Blue Velvet are more satirical/referential, but still fall within the same range despite their differences.
