    Odd how nobody talks much about the Zionists showing up after the Balfour Declaration in 1917 and finding ways to expand their territory at the expense of Palestinians. Often using violent means.

    There’s probably a bit of truth to it, in the sense that the Jews have been the target of hatred by so many cultures across history and continents. I’m not an expert in Middle-Eastern history but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the nations surrounding Israel have problems with antisemitism.

    That being said, obviously there’s so much more to it with Gaza. Land was stolen from the previous inhabitants by the British and the nation of Israel was established on that stolen land. And since then, Israel has been empowered to treat the natives about as well as the British did in North America. It’s that oppression that led to Hamas getting a foothold in the first place, and why they continue to have control of the region.
