Liverpool have received a £40 million offer from Al Ittihad for Fabinho, who will not be travelling with the club for their training camp in Germany as he ties up his future.

Jordan Henderson is part of the travelling squad.

This is why I don’t watch football. In my mind, if you play for Liverpool, then you should be from the region around Liverpool. Not a multi million dollar purchase from overseas, to add to the other multi million dollar purchases that make up ‘Liverpool’.

Is Liverpool any good? We’ll never know, as non of the team are from there.

I say, bring the battle and let’s see which region are really the best. Not which region are the wealthiest importers.

I’m not trying to be inflammatory, and this is a real question. What do you mean by that? Are you saying it’s for purchasing players?

No, I just meant that international football is where people go when they want to watch “people from over here” play against “people from over there”.

Granted it’s not broken down so far as the level of city vs. city, so you don’t get a “players from Liverpool FC”, I’m just pointing out that something like what you’re describing does exist at the national level so you have “players from England FC” instead.

Trent and Curtis Jones are both from Liverpool. I don’t see an issue with players moving to a town to represent them. My perspective is it’s a team in Liverpool same as Everton or Tranmere Rovers and the players move there to represent the club.

Look at London and the numerous teams they have there.
