Tandem Diabetes Care hasn’t reported any deaths linked to the issue.

This sounds more like a firmware issue, even if the crashing app is causing continual Bluetooth reconnects. How is a life critical hardware device not configured in a way that allows it to run without an app in a safe way!?!?
