America’s infrastructure has been ignored ever since corporations got involved. They were gung-ho building it with tax dollars and keeping the profit, but once the tax dollars stop or they have to upgrade, forget it. All the subsidies go to the bottom line as profit instead and out to execs and stock holders.

That’s exactly it. They’ve pocketed it for quarterly gains and executive bonuses.
