Hi everyone, I hope you are well.

I’m unable to login with my account in the Mlem app, it says “please check your username and password, if you made an account with email, check that you have confirmed it with the link sent”.

I was confused in the beginning, maybe I did misclick ? So I carefully rewrite my credentials and still got the “please check” prompt.

I downloaded another client and it worked well, with the exact same username/password (which I’m currently writing this post with).

It’s really annoying me I truly wanted to try Mlem, it looks like it has the best UI on iOS.

My account is tied to the lemm.ee instance if it can help, my email is of course verified, and my credentials are correct.

Hey there! We’re sorry this isn’t working for you. Just to be clear, you should be typing “lemm.ee” in the “Instance” field and “chimera” in the “username” field.

If that doesn’t work, there’s unfortunately something wrong with our login system. I’m currently unable to find the root cause - I’ve tried creating an account on lemm.ee, and am able to login without any problems. I’ve created an issue on our GitHub repository here and will let you know if we make any progress.

Thank you for your answer, after your comment I really started to think the problem was on my own side, and it was actually.

I connected to my account directly on the lemm.ee’s website, and I changed my password, just to try and see what happens, and it worked !

I tried to login in Mlem directly with your recommandation for the fields and the new password and it was successful first try

Sorry to have bothered you and thanks again for your help

Make sure you’re using your “username” not your email as your username

Just tried right now, it doesn’t work either, I tried with “@” and without “@”, and I tried with the instance’s name included too

I also checked one more time my password and it’s correct since I’m able to connect on the web client
