The issue of orbital debris and the crowding of Earth’s orbital space is, imo, one of the more sound arguments for the necessity of a global government. It’s an issue that effects the present and futures of all the people who currently live on Earth. Its improper management/regulation could potentially have devastating and long lasting effects. Not to mention the economic and political issues of orbital monopolization.
