I am 31 y.o., used to live with some early 20 y.o. and they had friends with all crazy pronouns (no pronouns, all pronouns, etc)

Im just wondering if this is a new trend between the younger generations, or if there are older folks that use custom pronouns too.

For the record, im not trying to be offensive.

I don’t, but having known enough people of all ages who do, the concept has been a normal part of my life for nearly 20 years. But, to be honest, some of the more esoteric neopronouns sound cringey to my ears (but I’ll oblige out of respect) and I flat-out refuse to call anyone “it.”

I’m 33 and have started using “they” in addition to “he” for myself in the last year-ish. I know a good amount of others both older and younger than myself who split like that or just use “they”, but no one who uses neopronouns (at least in person).

Nope, but if someone ask me to I will do so out of courtesy. Not very likely in the circles I mix in though

I don’t really care. I identify as a man, but they is fine, and I’ll even answer to she if it’s a confused straight person or a normal gay person. Really makes no difference to my feelings about myself.
