I remember how gross most of us used to think the Texas sodomy ban was back in the day, now thanks to right wing media, social media, and irresponsible social media leadership and stewardship have really blown the homophobia to nazi-like levels, and today in Canada we got to see the Muslims join up with the Christians talking about “you won’t steal our children”, which they’re right, we won’t steal any children, but they will come to us once they’re abandoned and abused for coming out of the closet.
Yeah we weren’t stolen, we were pushed away. These people can’t comprehend the terror of slowly realizing your queerness as a teenager surrounded by bigots
I’m saying that as a straight white male Allie, these people push their kids away, it’s got nothing to do with any kind of bullshit “gay agenda” and everything with how conservative parents don’t accept deviations from their accepted “norms” in their children and abuse and reject them as soon as the children show any differences.
I’m so tired of seeing acceptance and inclusion being treated as “oppression” of Christians, and Christians aren’t the only ones, Muslims and others do the same to the same minority groups. People really need to learn and truly embrace living and letting live, there are far too many nosy motherfuckers with nothing better to do.
Frankly, if this were really accurate, it wouldn’t be just one Republican politician in the bedroom, but several, plus a few pundits for good measure.
Plus a few religious leaders.
Don’t forget their underage victims.
