See title. For me it’s bicycle pathes, they are ubiquitous but outside of the Netherlands, they are incredibly rare or not extensive.
Germany.
Cheap wholegrain toast or bread.
‘Deutschland-Ticket’ - ticket for all public transport except HSR.
Container-deposit legislation - bottles in the vegetation or environment suck.
Minimum wage (12.41€ pre-tax, “A single person estimated monthly costs are 992.2€ without rent.” - for my city)
store bought peanut sauce or peanutbutter.
stroopwafels, fresh or in the store.
Things I don’t have to miss: Pilsner, Cheese (exotic cheeses are also cool)
Not unique to this Country but a good and not private bus and train system is what i missed while i was away from Switzerland.
Public toilets and water everywhere, handicap accessibility
One of the few things I miss from Australia now I am living in Europe is having local charities hosting bbq outside a hardware store.
You get a sausage on a piece of bread for like $2-3, with or without onions and condiments.Really convenient having a warm snag while walking through the hardware store getting the things your remember for your project. Bonus is you always forget something so you can go back for another.
