As a veteran all I can tell you is it’s a tantalizing option for ending all of my problems and it’s a daily struggle to not pull the trigger. The military fucks with your psyche, it’s the entire concept to get a better soldier, they say that they need to break you down to build you back up. Maybe that works but it certainly leaves scars.
