it worked out this time, but that last letter in that last spot tends to give me trouble because I don’t usually look for words that end with that letter

Reviewing this in Gradle, my second guess left 9 possibilities. All 9 started with the same three letters, and 8 of them had the same last letter, too. Of course, I guessed the one that had a different last letter instead.

How ironic this word popped up during the trial of my new starting word.
That starting word is much worse than your old one. I ranked your old word 1,465th and your new word 6,045th. May I suggest my 2nd place word, BRACE?
Thats’s good to know but I have a weird hunch about Laugh being a strong contender with the proper secondary word choices. I’m going to let it cook a week or two and if it don’t work I still have my previous starter word list.
