Mo Elneny is hoping to push his new Hertfordshire-based club - Elneny FC - all the way up the English football pyramid and into the Premier League. I love the guy’s unbridled optimism.
Is he gonna play for them? Surely he’ll find another club to play for, right? What if it’s not in London?
Good question about whether he’ll play for them. Seems like he’s still got a big of energy left in his legs, so I wouldn’t be surprised by that.
I had to dig around a bit to find their exact location. Found it in their website ultimately. But they are in Hatfield, so no, not even the outskirts of London. But that location makes sense, since it’s pretty close to London Colney / St Albans (it’s 13 miles to the north west of Colney), and I think that party of Hertfordshire isn’t very well represented by clubs.
I mean, he’d be way, way, way too good for them lol. Wouldn’t be very healthy for the growth of the club. I meant what if Elneny gets another club that’s in like, Turkey or something?
