Any park, any attraction. What’s your favorite? What do you make an direct attempt to accomplish during any trip?
For me it’s … lounges. Lol. It’s become a tradition of ours that after the kids go to sleep on the first night, that I head out solo to check out the lounge of the hotel that we’re staying at.
So far my favorite has been Victoria Falls Lounge at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Other than that, I really do wing it and just have fun getting in whatever I can.
- Hollywood Studios: Midway Mania
- Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Epcot: Cosmic Rewind
- Magic Kingdom: Tron or Pirates of the Caribbean
Haven’t actually tried any of the lounges, as we lived in Orlando! But since we moved in 2020 we haven’t been back and I’ll be sure to check out the lounges when we visit next time.
My favorites are:
- DHS: Tower of Terror. It’s such a classic ride and even though RotR is freaking amazing and next level, ToT is classic and simple.
- DAK: The safari is pretty good and a close second but I’ll say FoP is my jam. I’ve probably done this one more times than I should. I normally get super motion sick with 3D stuff but something about this ride doesn’t trigger it.
- Epcot: haven’t tried Cosmis Rewind. My wife worked on it in 2019-2020, before we moved and we both wanna go try it out! But my favorite is Spaceship Earth. Living with the land is a close second but spaceship earth is just special to me.
- MK: MK is a tough one. Peter Pan, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise. All classics. I’ve probably rode Jungle Cruise the most, as we knew a bunch of Skippers (wife was a Skipper for 2 years) so we could always get on easily. But as a solo traveler I think Peter Pan is better.
I really need to plan a trip soon!
Due to waits and having two young kids, I still haven’t managed to go on FoP or either Star Wars ride.
My wife finally got on FoP during Moonlight Magic, so I’m sure that one will finally get knocked off my list next trip in September!
Totally get it, we didn’t have kids back then!
We did both Star Wars ones a ton when they opened cus of Cast member previews and knowing people that worked the lines, so we could skip them.
I’ve probably spend 20+ hours in FoP lines or else just checked Fast Pass (RIP) in the morning and gone just for that ride if I got a FP.
