Oh this is timely.
I just started looking for a new therapist again. It’s been a few years since I had/needed one. But here we are. After being laid off for four months with no work in sight. After not being as nice to my kids as I would like to be. After falling to make big life decisions about where to live. And mostly after just being fucking annoyed like almost all of the time, I’m ready to get help.
Now the problem is figuring out who to see… There are a lot of options but basically no information about any of the therapists, counselors, LCSWs or whatever in my neighborhood.
I’m looking for a therapist too and I’m in the same boat. Kinda of a throw a dart at a dartboard and see what you get I guess.
It can take some time to find the right therapist for you. And you might go through a few of them. So don’t get discouraged friends! You’ll find the right person to help you, it just might take a little trial and error. Just something to keep in mind.
