    OK, I live in this province so I feel like I need to chime in. This guy has been beating this drum for a long time. The issue with the glyphosate hypothesis is that it’s used in many other locations which don’t have this issue. We also have a lot of radon out here and for a while people thought that may be the cause. Given the lack of evidence (or even a workable hypothesis) I’m inclined to think these cases are not connected, but we’ll see.

    Part of the problem is that new Brunswick is a fiefdom of the Irvings, a family of billionaires (well, two families technically) who have completely captured both leading government parties since the 60s. It’s practically feudal. The two families own immense tracts of land and operate a forestry company and petroleum refinery, among other ventures. Many here assume that whatever is happening, it’s somehow their fault.
