Instagram Threads is rolling out the ability for users to signal which sort of posts they wanted to see more or less of by swiping.

It doesn’t seem fair to promote what Threads are doing. Many of us are contributing to the development of social media sites for their own amusement and in their spare time, and it can feel like we’re supposed to compete with a room full of full-time professional coders, whose product has only a tenuous, one-way, connection to Fediverse anyway.
Fuck Meta, stop promoting Threads.
