If you think the peak of British cuisine is some pork wrapped in puff pastry, then firstly you’re absolutely right and secondly, your Christmas has come early as Greggs are launching a ‘yard-long’ sausage roll this week.
To celebrate National Sausage Roll Day on June 5 – mark your calendars – the high street bakery chain will be giving fans the chance to get their hands on a yard-long box made up of 17 sausage rolls.
Customers will be able to choose from classic or vegan rolls, and the three-foot long product will cost £15.
I am disappointed it isn’t one massive sausage roll - the cowards had greatness in sight and they bottled out.
Is it even legal to call it “yard long” if you actually need to lay 17 next to each other? My cereal box does not say “200 meter cereals” just because if I lay them all out I might get there.
I’m not a savoury snack solicitor but if they state clearly that it’s a yard of sausage rolls then they can’t be done for false advertising.
My flooring tells me how many meters squared it is, even though I have to assemble it myself. It doesn’t even compensate for offcuts.
As long as they do not call it “a 10 m² tile” that seems fine. The same way 500 g of cereals are the sun of all.
“Dear Subway: Fuck your footlong!”
Not a yard long sausage roll, but a yard of sausage rolls. Shame.
Cadburys do the same I think, once upon a time you got a yard of dairy milk but now it’s just yard equivalent of individual bars.
Don’t you mean 0.91 meter long ye limey shites?
