Okay seriously where the heck do you guys find Audio Logs and Patrol Logs for the audio masking mod? I’ve raiding countless settlements of different sizes, economies and security levels and have come up empty and by the looks of it, I can’t trade data that I do have for the ones I need like you usually do for ship engineering. O7 Commanders!
Farming engineering mats is a PITA. I don’t know how or what controls where shit spawns, but every time I’ve been told to go to a specific place, or look for a specific thing in the mission terminal, it has led to getting jack shit of what I am looking for. The only thing I can do is hope and pray and just keep grinding shit that could spawn a thing on the slight chance it actually spawns.

So I got the audio logs and patrol routes from a very generous commander. I got super hyped as I finally had everything that I need for the audio mask mod…… oh guess what there’s another grind a freaking half to unlock the engineer that does it. Raged quit. Haven’t logged in since…. So freaking frustrating.
Look at the mission board, filter for materials, and select the ones that you need.
It’s not great and still takes waaay to long, but yeah
Alternatively you could look for Sell Orders on Inara.
Just make sure the last Updated is fairly recent
I did try to buy from a carrier but when I got there, there were none. The data according to Inara was 15 minutes old so idk hahahah. Someone suggested the ED Materials Helper app which tells you where most people find whatever mat you are looking for. Pretty neat.
I have this route an honest try…. multiple times…. multiple stations…. no luck at all.
