    Brutalist architecture is so easy to spot, but I could never pin down what exactly goes into brutalist furniture. I certainly wouldn’t want this chair in a brutalist building, as it wouldn’t seem to fit.

      It really is a mix, but it was definitely something “of the time” to me, but only because I’ve seen examples in real life.

      Remember that this was the time of Aztec calendar wall hangings being really popular, so there would have been an influence. This is similar to one that hung in my childhood home:
