“I agree that the word grope is a very odd word,” Spacey said. “I personally—I have caressed people, I have been gentle with people. That is the way that I am. You’re making a pass at someone, you don’t want to be aggressive. You want to be gentle. You want to see if they’re going to respond positively. So, I think the word [grope] is not a word that I associate with my experience.”

Its 2024 and Spacey still doesn’t understand the concept of consent.

Every time I have heard Spacey speak or have read things he’s said since his career imploded it just perfectly illustrates the reason he was so damn good at playing creepy, detached dudes throughout his acting career: he wasn’t acting.

Well that makes sense, seeing as there’s absolutely no other way to tell if someone might be interested other than touching them in private areas and seeing if they like it or not…

Christ on a bike, what the fuck.

Too bad Trump isn’t a fan of queer people because this is the exact same “when you’re rich, they let you do it” attitude Trump had with the “grab them by the pussy” comment, so they’d get along really well otherwise.

You can’t figure out whether they consent until you grope them, and see how they respond! Did you not read the quote? I meant caress, not grope! Caress response determines consent!

It’s difficult to trust any actor who cries during an interview or in court. That’s part of their job.

Wow he looks like ass. Good. He’s is in a lot of my favorite movies, and it’s hard to watch them anymore. In addition to the victims, I feel sorry for anyone who acted with him. Those great movies will always have his stench on them.

Yeah I almost watched Baby Driver the other day, but then I saw him on the poster and got that revolting feeling in my stomach. Decided that if I have a choice, there’s just no reason to watch him. I like Ansel Elgort though, so I’ll just watch Tokyo Vice.

Midnight in the garden of good and evil is one of my favorite movies. Wonderful acting from everyone. Especially this douche bag. It’s actually my favorite performance of his.

They don’t see it as rape if they just use their position and power instead of physical restraint.

Must be on a press tour. He was just on Lex Fridman, and Lex was disappointingly soft on him.

One of the best actors of his generation.

Don’t see him ever being allowed on a set again. Too many people don’t care that he was found not liable in the civil lawsuit in the US and was acquitted of all 9 counts of assault in the UK.

But mob mentality already decided he was guilty and he’s done a spectacularly poor PR job in response.
