I think that in practice, whoever writes the prompts would be able to adjust the wording to get the bot to output whatever they want.
That is precisely true. Not only that but what ever the bot is running on, if it isn’t controlled by some neutral entity the big could be guided behind the scenes pretty easily.
If you’ve ever played Paranoia RPG (1984), you know how this ends. At least in the game you had clones for when you got fragged by the computer.
