Why can’t serious topics like this be presented in a reasonable tone without this click bait stuff?

‘what happens next will shock you’ cmon man, that’s just undignified.

Interview itself: professional, and interesting Thumbnail, title and comments of the post: undignified of the subject matter

Yes, thanks for pointing that out, I like to inform people on why many do this; for those that don’t know why.

The titles are tailored for search engine optimization (SEO) and the algorithm that incentive to do this, if they don’t they are ‘censored’ are do not reach the potential audience that could be reached.

It is really similar to legacy media and the news articles they push out, catchy titles get more views and more people talking.

Your course of action makes sense, but do keep in mind that a subgroup of people you might reach (like myself) would not click this because of the mentioned changes.

It seems a bit ill advised to optimize towards a group that most likly won’t have the attention span to listen to a long interview like this one.

Your changes inflate your first-second viewing because the packaging does not represent the insides in this case. As soon as someone clicks, hears the first second and sees a minute counter larger than 5 minutes, they will close it again.

Then again, this is just my opinion, it’s your video, you can do what you want with it.

I do not change the OG youtube video or titles, I leave as is.

subgroup of people you might reach (like myself) would not click this because of the mentioned changes.

You are right, I sometimes add summaries or additional information, but I feel that is too much coddling just to meet some people standard on what is the norm on social media and everywhere.

Sadly, it is the norm, but I also agree that having non optimized and non SEO titles would be much better so more people would be willing to take the time to watch them.

It seems a bit ill advised to optimize towards a group that most likly won’t have the attention span to listen to a long interview like this one.

You are correct, many on here do not like long form interviews or videos, unless they are already comfortable with said source creator; at least that is how it seems, I know I may be wrong though.

Then again, this is just my opinion, it’s your video, you can do what you want with it.

Thank you for taking the time to point out these great points you have outlined, I agree fully, the way I post is a problem; time, I would need to take more time to fix the SEO and algorithm incentivized titles, so people would be more willing to watch the videos.
