    According to the lead there, they found out via the public announcement. No one at Paradox had the decency to actually let them know first.

      I wonder how much more proof people need to understand that Pdx is basically on the same level as EA now.

        None anymore. Cities Skylines and Imperator were the breaking point for a few. The slow burn DLC used to be fine when each added depth to gameplay, new ways to try wide and tall playthroughs, revamped existing mechanics to rebalance the meta, etc. But now, it’s all unit models and art pages from the intern’s sketchbook. There is nothing of value being included.

        The most galling part is when the unit models and music variety is mixed in with a weak mechanical change or token nation/culture addition that does nothing to gameplay. Now, 10 years after their shift to be Sweden’s EA, they’ve succeeded in being as scummy without the money to show for it.
