Nah the French Right are in a whole different space of weirdness from the American Right,

Partially because, since France doesn’t run on FPTP, there’s a pluralism in the French right that there isn’t in the US.

You might remember headlines about some guy attacking Macron during a public appearance, apparently that guy was part of the French Monarchist movement, who aren’t connected to national front IIRC as an example.

It’s a trend with women world wide where as men have more or less remained the same or gone slightly more conservative.

Has been since at least the 80s

The UK has entirely fallen to our greed disease as we metastasize eastward. Germany is on board, the French are still fighting admirably as they always do when it comes to class conflict at least.

I hang my head in shame over the greed disease we are exporting regularly.

“YOU and your family can live larger than you ever dreamed possible, all you have to do is sell out your countrymen for capital exploitation…come on…money money…”

-The venomous call to political and economic power from the US

All it takes is time and weak people devoid of basic decency sitting in the right chairs at the time.

      More like

Some political parties: let’s make the our citizens lives as possibly miserable as we can get away with.
These political parties: our plan is to largely undo all of this

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Marine Le Pen’s anti-immigration National Rally is tipped to win the most votes in a two-round snap election on June 30 and July 7 that could crush the liberal centrists of President Emmanuel Macron, and women are increasingly driving her party’s surging political fortunes as it seeks to position itself in the mainstream.

The most eye-catching aspect of this swing to the far right concerned women voters, according to an election-day poll that OpinionWay carried out for the Les Echos newspaper.

The closing of the gender gap sets the National Rally apart from anti-immigration parties in other big EU countries.

Bristling at the suggestion his party would be bad for women’s rights, Jordan Bardella, the National Rally’s 28-year-old leader, took to social media this week to tell women he’d be a “prime minister who guarantees the rights and freedoms of every woman and girl in France.”

But the party defines the notion of “protection” more broadly, applying it not only to security but also to health, employment and living conditions — a wider gamut of topics that resonate with female voters, he said.

“Once Marine Le Pen became the candidate, women started voting [for the National Rally] in the same proportions as men.”

The original article contains 802 words, the summary contains 203 words. Saved 75%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

that might not suprise you if you think about it. Their right to abortion is now in their constitution.

being conservative now means protecting the establishment that protects their rights to their bodies.

Yup, a lot of people are single issue voters. If you solve their single issue, they may switch parties to whatever is next most important.

In this case, that’s immigration. I guess if you are reasonably comfortable with how things are, immigration just seems like a risk to your way of life. So I get it. I disagree (I want more immigration), but I understand it.

I can see why French women would like less migrants in their lives.
