It might not make sense so ill explain, basically I’ve just bought a prebuilt and a separate gpu since its cheaper, and I’m confused on if the cables needed to power it come with the gpu or already on the power supply

They typically come with the PSU. If your PSU is modular, they come in the PSU box as a separate piece of wire harness.
