As a non-avid hockey watcher I low key wanted the Oilers to win as the last time there was an upset like that was back in the 40s.

McJesus breaking the Canada Curse with a reverse sweep would have been all time.

Knoblauch shortened the bench way too early, the last couple minutes it felt like everyone out there for the oilers was totally gassed and could barely move. When there are less than twenty seconds left in a game 7 where you’re down a goal, you absolutely cannot afford to take three seconds to stand behind your own net to catch your breath and let the play develop.

Yeah like night and day at that point.

Shame- coming back from 3-0 down and just couldn’t get the goals in the last game.

Is Bettman okay? He’s shaking like he has Parkinsons or something similar. (Not mocking him - I’m genuinely wondering.)

The guy gets booed by the home team’s fans for presenting their team with the Stanley Cup! It happens every single year, no matter who wins! It’s the most awkward trophy presentation in all of sports!

He was worried that a non-American team might actually win the cup.

I would love to see his discomfort if 2 Canadian teams were playing in the final series.

That’d be an easy one for him. He’d prefer the team furthest from Toronto and Montreal.

Congrats, Panthers! Had me worried there for a little while

The last seven minutes were some of the most intense hockey I’ve seen in a long time

Gotta say as a sharks fan who has been reverse swept: after game 5&6 I thought the Panthers were toast. Impressive digging deep to grind out the win at home.

Ironic considering florida is a team of dirty rats, one of the dirtiest in the league. Fucking bullshit that the backwards shithole that is florida gets 5 cup final appearances and 3 cups in 5 years when most of the population can barely grasp cars going in a god damn circle, let alone hockey.

Fuck florida and their dirty bullshit
