    I remember when this story broke about the elected mayor being squeezed out. Good to see that some amount of justice is taking place, though I’m sure this won’t be the end of pushback from the power-holding white gentry. Insane that they were getting away with this in modern times.

      Yeah, it really is one of the most egregious examples of organized racism in the modern era. A white minority of an entire town holding onto power over the black majority by unlawful and unethical practices that they coordinated.

    Does anyone know where I can find a time line of this case? I’m really curious how it took four years to litigate something this egregious. Four years to reach a settlement, not even a litigate court ruling.
