This feels weird to me. On one hand I 100% agree, but why is it men vs women?
It feels like they’re angry about a class war, but then points instead point to a men vs women, instead of rich vs poor.
It could be easy changed to “The 8 richest people have more than the bottom 3.5 billion. But sure it’s about the single parents collecting food stamps.”
Of course that is only if “eight men has more than” means the “8 richest people” or if they only care about the 8 men specifically
I think the argument is about class war. I don’t think it was phrased to be about gender divisions.
But 8 men do have as much wealth as 3.6 million, and people do complain about the single mother on food stamps. I see nothing inaccurate here
I think, and I’m just taking a stab in the dark here, this is also social commentary about patriarchy.
Which is ironic for a church.
