No it’s JR Kyushu 885 series, servicing as a limited express between Hakata and Nagasaki, also Hakata and Ōita.
Titling for faster speed on curve rail.
Still not as fast as Keisei Skyliner.
Cozy seat?
Face to face setting to increase awkwardness with strangers.
It may look impressive, but the train is … well… pretty old. JR train outside metropolis is mostly old.
Additionally, the train is also exported (w/ modification) to Taiwan as TEMU1000 series.
Look like ICE 2.
German high speed train empire…
DB
On routes where it switches direction at Kokura station (running between Hakata and Oita using Nippo Main Line and Kagoshima Line) there is a bit of a chaos moment when all passengers stand up to rotate the seats, and stuff they left in the compartments in the seats in front of them (like the mini-pocket) gets flipped to 2 seats behind them.
The 885 also features shared rooms next to most doors, with standing space and high desks for calls and work, with spacious full-height vertical windows that allow for extra light and great views.
