Honestly, for a long time I didn’t get the whole “British Bias” whining - I thought like, yeah, it’s probably a bit there but he’s an English commentator so naturally he’ll have some bias.
I switched to F1TV a year or so ago, and anytime I have to watch the sky feed again it’s actually a bit nuts. Crofty is full on limey and it’s a bit embarrassing lol
What, the British man hired by a British broadcaster to provide commentary for a British audience in a sport where people often follow drivers based on their nationality is focusing on the British drivers? Oh no, call the FIA immediately!
The sky sports feed is aired in other English speaking countries outside of the UK as well though. So it’s not really surprising that non-Brits are a bit annoyed by Crofty.
Why be annoyed by the guy doing his job instead of being annoyed with their own broadcaster being too lazy to hire their own commentators?
Honestly I totally agree, and I think it’s dumb when people complain about British Bias for every little thing given that Crofty is English - I just think sometimes he is a bit much 😂
