The longest discharge of more than 25 hours was reported at Brookhouse Brook in the Epping Forrest area of Essex

As summer rain sweeps across England, more than 100 sewage overflows have been reported across the country.

According to the Rivers Trust’s real-time sewage pollution map, the longest discharge in the past 48 hours was reported at Brookhouse Brook in the Epping Forrest district of Essex, lasting for more than 25 hours.

This was followed by discharges at the Little Hallingbury Brook in Uttlesford, Essex, and the River Ver in Hertfordshire, which both saw continuous sewage releases lasting for more than 22 hours.

    Considering we’re the ones literally paying for sewage disposal, we shouldn’t only stop, but also demand our money back en-masse, since we’ve clearly not been provided with the service we’ve paid for.

    Never mind those actually getting unsafe water through their taps, they shouldn’t be paying anything until it’s fixed, and then some, for having to have sewage in their taps.

    Money is the only language companies understand.
