Yeah, also been saying this for years. Loss leading into jack up the prices.

Admittedly I thought it would happen a bit later, usually I expect them to try to force out the competition, then go for the prices. Guess that’s not an option when steam is around.

Oh, as in the loss of sales from the new games isn’t worth the potential gains later on by developing the platform? I can feel that.

But on the bright side, Game Pass is still where you get to experience unexpected brand-new releases, like Hi-Fi Ru-

I’ve had an Xbox Live account since 2007 but lately, I’ve mostly been gaming on Linux and my Steam Deck. I buy more games there than anywhere else. I like GamePass, but I can go and get indie games for cheap, support a small dev in the process, and the UX is superior. It’s far better than constantly dealing with these increases because capitalism demands growth at all costs.

I’ll keep using Game Pass as long as the Xbox Live Gold / Game Pass Core upgrade trick still works. Once they clamp down on that I’m out.

So glad I didn’t buy into this.

In fact, when Destiny 2 cut out 1/2 the content, I dropped XBL and PSN. Haven’t missed it.

This isn’t really a problem for me. Between work family and general life, my to do list is huge.

I can’t remember the latest time I fired up the xbox
