I thought Mark Jackson was significantly worse than JVG but either way, JJ would be a huge upgrade.

It would legitimately be difficult to get worse than the color team ESPN had. An out of touch former coach that hates the current version of the game he’s commentating, and a monotone former player with the personality of a wet sock that appears to have a side gig fellating any and all forms of officiating. And for some reason they had them on at the SAME TIME.

JJ serves up bad hot takes regularly to convince kids to gamble because of his podcast sponsors. He’s turned into a hack, honestly.

I personally hope they deviate from the three man commentary all together. There’s a reason just about every other sport around the world has TWO people in the booth. ESPN for some reason is married to these three man teams and they are always worse.

I’ve never understood the appeal of three man commentary. I can’t think of many times it was better than most two man set ups.

I bet Redick knows exactly what you can do with cousins.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the new CC team is JJ + Doc Rivers

J.J’s takes are well thought out. I’m interested to see how he’d do in this spot.
