Not sure what this means for him or the Cavs going forward but I just hope he makes the right decision for himself and his family. I think we’d all like to see him back in a Cavs uniform and return to his form from 2 years ago.
Thanks for joining us. Right now is incredibly slow, but during free agency we had some good posts from various users. I think things will get much better when there is real basketball discussion to be had.
#9 - Cleveland Cavaliers
2022-23 record: 51-31
Result: Lost East first round
2024 title odds: +2500
After the franchise’s momentum was stalled with a first-round flameout against New York, the Cavs have had a strong offseason – from adding Max Strus and Georges Niang to rookie Emoni Bates looking like a potential steal in Cleveland’s run to the summer league championship. Still, the biggest question remains if the team can make enough strides next season to convince Donovan Mitchell to extend and make The Land his home. – McMenamin

Cleveland Cavaliers•[Weinbach] The Hornets may opt to pursue a sign-and-trade for P.J. Washington rather than retaining the 24-year-old RFA.English
2·3 年前How much would he get in a sign and trade? And how much is he worth talent wise?
I think he’d be a good add overall, given another 3pt shooting big would be nice. Just from a glance I’d have no problem giving up Dean Wade and some other bottom of the roster stuff. But that may just be an insulting offer for the Hornets

NBA•[Amick] Harden’s stance has not changed. He still wants to leave Philadelphia. He’s still upset with how Morey handled his situation heading into possible free agency.
3·3 年前Why did he pick up his player option then? He could have gone to Houston for a max deal and no one could have stopped him.

NBA•[Shams] NBA has approved two new gameplay changes for 2023-24 season: 1) In-game penalty for flops resulting in technical FT, 2) second coach’s challenge awarded if first challenge is successful
11·3 年前Getting a second coaches challenge after winning the first seems like a no brainer. I would love for flops to be taken out of the game so I’ll be cautiously optimistic about that change.
Emoni absolutely showed out this game. He’s been getting better every game and this one was a cherry on top for the summer. I hope he earns some minutes this season, I’d love to see him hit his shots against legit NBA talent.
I would disagree with that. It’s not really bizarre given leagues around the world do this to great success. Also I don’t think the NBA is so single minded that they only worked on this in season tournament and nothing else to improve the game. I’m also not sure that very much time even needed to be spent on this idea given how it’s already in place in other leagues and at the top level it’s not very complex.
At the end of the day it was a pretty minor change to the existing infrastructure with respect to how much improvement it could impose. I see it as no negative with possible positive.
