See if I owned a news rag I would have started the headline with “Twilight author arrested”.
The joke is that I googled to see who that was and one of his books is named Twilight, which is not at all related to the (formerly?) very popular series of YA novels of the same name.
The real joke is that millions of unwitting people clicked the link to the article. Instead, you just googled the author’s name. If they had put the title ‘Twilight’ in the headline, everyone would’ve just thought to themselves, “well, no surprise there,” and kept scrolling.
I’ll have you know that I clicked as I wanted to check if the bastard really did have a black eye, it kinda looks like that, but there are shadows that might obscure it.
However I choose to believe that he got a black eye when he was discovered.
And I’ll have you know I took great satisfaction from learning that, and even greater satisfaction from having learned it without clicking a single link
