Until it takes off its just a weird bus with even weirder propulsion.
I do not know anything about planes, but I’d hazard a guess this is a McDonnell Douglas DC-something. It’s a thing of beauty, in any case, from a more refined time.
DC-3. The military gave it a different designation too but can’t recall.
C47 if I remember right.

There was one parked in a field close to my school. It’s a shame it was left to rot. Beautiful piece of engineering, even though I’ve heard riding in one gave the feeling it was held together by spit and good will.
