I think Wes might be right here but this is going to cause consternation amongst groups who were hoping that Labour might take a more liberal approach to LGBT issues than the tories.

    Reminder, this is only a ban for trans kids, so any comments about this being dangerous for the kids is mute. If that was the concern they would ban prescribing them to cis kids as well.

    So much for ‘change’.

      Concerned that under 18s can’t give informed consent given the wide variety of side effects that studies have shown puberty blockers can cause. Impediments to long term brain development for example.

      People are always able to transition later when they can give informed consent.
