quick google tells me the buy option is £21.4m, I think that’s quite steep for a player that’s not the right age profile and didn’t really impress at all other than the last game or two, where we played a lowblock. I am not even sure we should take him at £10m, maybe if Casemiro leaves he can be thought of as a cheap backup, but if we are going to buy someone who is not good enough I’d rather take that money and put it towards a younger player who might actually develop into something good enough.
