To be fair, the 3DS went from “this will never be hacked” to “smea might be cooking something” to “if you sneeze near this thing it jailbreaks itself and installs a pirated game automatically”
This is why you don’t use easily available things for your encryption seed data. Still not as easy as the wii. With the letterbomb hack it is just done in like 5 step. The way they figured out the encryption is also Super neat. It involved physically walking with tweezers an encrypted part of the ram into the unencrypted section of the ram. I saw a neat video about it
