And now we see the true cost of how we live.

As a CS student, my physical health wasn’t allowed to matter, either.

You know what I’d really love nothing more than to do over Thanksgiving and spring break? Multiple CS assignments all conveniently given right before the break and due right after! Free time? Time with family? What’s that?

I know this is a cliche, but I’ve never said it before: I wish I could upvote you more than once.

And it’s not just CS classes. Most classes at the college and above level do this to you. You don’t get a vacation. You get more work than usual, while also having a family expecting you to engage in prolonged social activities. And almost every class does this, particularly at the higher levels. So your workload is massive.

Can we all finally just agree to institute a UBI so that we can just go for a walk?

Plebs are not allowed to go for walks unless they are using an energy-producing treadmill or bicycle.

Sent a professor and email at 2 am asking for an extension on an assignment because I was having a mh crisis and she replied in like ten mins and was like, “Take the time you need”

By far my fave professor and one of my biggest inspirations.

I sent an email to a professor three or so days before an assignment would be coming due asking for any extension I could get because I had to travel out of state for surgery.

      He said no.

Can’t recommend Seattle University. Probably should have reported him. Seemed like a nice school otherwise.

I had this unironically happen in a statistics class.

I visited said professor during office hours, and he goes: “How do you think you did?”

I said: “Statistically speaking given a standard distribution, the probability of me scoring any higher or lower than the mean is unlikely, so I guess give me a C for the course”

He stops and looks and then looks back at the computer: “Because you understand that, I’m giving you an A.”
